Lately, I've been playing around with AI-generated music. I find it equal parts fascinating and terrifying. It's always seemed like something that would eventually exist...just maybe not quite yet. But it's here, and it's scarily good already...and still just in its infancy. Naturally, as with any medium, I figure the best way to employ it is to the furtherance of feedism. To that end, I've come up with a few tracks that are passably good as "music to gain weight by." Don't get me wrong, I wish there were real human musicians making this music, but if there are, I haven't heard them yet, and I doubt they'd get many paying gigs with an all WG-related set anyway. I've uploaded a few tracks to Soundcloud. I seem to be finding conflicting rules regarding whether posting outside links is acceptable on DA. So we'll see whether I run afoul of any rules and this gets flagged: A few words about the tracks: The first, "Plump," has kind of a retro disco rhythm. I didn't necessarily intend

So a while back, after much trial and error, I finally tracked down a copy of the Lost Saucer episode, "Fat Is Beautiful," on which my story of the same name is very loosely based. And holy cow...what a disappointment. Even while I accurately recalled the show's limited production values and adjusted my expectations accordingly, it turns out to be considerably lamer than I remembered. Now, I should point out, I'm well aware that some level of disappointment is inevitable when viewing things through the lens of nostalgia. All the Krofft shows (of which The Lost Saucer was only one) were produced on a shoestring budget and clearly were never intended to be much besides disposable entertainment for kids. A few of the shows also served as vehicles to briefly revive the careers of former child stars (including Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, which featured Johnny Whitaker of Family Affair fame, and H.R. Pufnstuf, which starred Jack Wild, perhaps best known as The Artful Dodger from the

What time is it? What year is it? Isn't it strange how inspiration strikes so haphazardly? It's been almost...hmm, let's see...[mumble mumble] years since my last story update. It's not that I completely mothballed the stories—in fact, I think about them daily and have managed to jot down a line or two as least once or twice a week—but somehow I haven't been able to parlay that into a coherent new installment. Recently, however, the words have been flowing, so I'm taking advantage. I won't give a timeline, since those always seem to come back to bite me, but I will post just as soon as I feel I have anything worthy of being posted...which I'm hopeful will be soon.
